Listening to the experts at Buff Box: Part I

It’s common knowledge. We tend to like when things are straightforward and simple. And while I like a challenge as much as the next person, there are times when being told what to do is the better option, especially when the person telling us what to do is an expert in their field.

The 2016 CrossFit Open: the first stop on the road to the Games

Number one Jamie Greene, a woman who has taken this year’s CrossFit Open by storm, and number two Sam Briggs, a tried and true CrossFit contender who won the 2013 CrossFit Games are both following meal plans created by Matt Hodges and his co-founded company Buff Box. And there is no other performance nutrition company that can

The final weekend of the open has arrived. And it seems that thrusters, which a  lot of people were unwantingly predicting, have come to fruition. With a repeat of 14.5, the fifth and final workout of 2016 is going to be a tough one.

The CrossFit Open 16.4 Strategy

Hey all, So this morning I was excited to see a workout I could actually do and get a killer workout from. Unlike 16.3, which involved 7 minutes of cursing the day I ever decided to begin CrossFit, and coming out with absolutely no muscle-ups to show for it, 16.4 is a ‘lovely’ little chipper wod that will also having

Rowing WOD: seminars and training with Olypmian rower Cam Nichols

The other week I joined in on an 101 Rowing WOD seminar with Men’s Eight Double World Silver Medallist and former Team GB Olympic rower Cam Nichol. And whether you’ve never strapped into a rower before, or you’ve had some experience and are looking to take your rowing to the next level, I would highly recommend

Stance socks: What’s everyone on about?

I started CrossFit in June of 2015 and, over the last few months, as I have found myself plummeting deeper and deeper down the CrossFit wormhole, I have begun to don some new activewear. Yeah, basically I copy all the cool kids at my CrossFit gym, hoping that one day I’ll complete 15.1 without even breaking a sweat.
