Listening to the experts at Buff Box: Part I

It’s common knowledge.

We tend to like when things are straightforward and simple.

And while I like a challenge as much as the next person, there are times when being told what to do is the better option, especially when the person telling us what to do is an expert in their field.

What have we done all our lives? We have, hopefully, learned from experts. Whether it was in primary school or uni, while at home watching a documentary, or reading a case study for work, or listening to a podcast, we want to learn from the people who know what they’re talking about.

So, why should it be any different when fitness and food come into play?

These days, a lot of people talk a big game when it comes to eating and exercising. Know someone who has read a book on Paleo? They’re officially an expert.

I’m guilty of this as well, but I have come to realise that there is a wealth of knowledge to gain from people who have evolved their passions for fitness and nutrition into their expertise.

While I agree that there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to our diets, I do wholeheartedly believe that Buff Box is a one size fits all nutrition company. They take on each client as an individual, with specific needs and attainable goals.

Why’s that?

They’ve got a hell of a lot of knowledge to provide us with, both nutritionally and athletically, and they’ve got the accolades to prove it.

From helping a man lose over three stone to organising the nutrition for 12 top professional CrossFit athletes, Buff Box nutritionists such as Matt Hodges know their stuff.

Whether you want to get back into shape, have found yourself plateauing either in the weight room or on the scales, have slumping energy levels or just can’t sleep, while redesigning your fitness routine is a sure-fire way to help, adjusting your nutrition is also an important and often overlooked starting point.

Check back early next week for my interview with Matt Hodges and his take on nutrition and fitness.
